ADVOCACY: THE ACADEMY ADVOCATES TO THE U.S. CONGRESS AND STATE LEGISLATURES ON BEHALF OF ITS MEMBERSHIP ON KEY ISSUES IMPACTING THE SPECIALTY, MEMBERS' PRACTICES AND PATIENTS. NUMEROUS OPPORTUNITIES ARE PROVIDED FOR ACADEMY MEMBERS TO INTERACT WITH THEIR ELECTED OFFICIALS.
