ANNUAL MEETING: THE SOCIETY HOLDS AN ANNUAL MEETING TO PROVIDE CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION FOR SURGEONS WHO TREAT BREAST DISEASE. THIS FIVE DAY EVENT OFFERS SURGEONS THE OPPORTUNITY FOR HANDS-ON TRAINING IN THE LATEST TECHNIQUES. THERE ARE PRESENTATIONS BY EXPERTS AND SCIENTIFIC SESSIONS HIGHLIGHTING ADVANCES IN RESEARCH. THE MEETING SERVES AS A FORUM FOR MEMBERS TO EXCHANGE IDEAS AND GAIN EXPOSURE TO NEW TECHNOLOGIES.
CERTIFICATION AND ACCREDITATION: THE SOCIETY OFFERS CERTIFICATION AND ACCREDITATION IN BREAST ULTRASOUND AND STEREOTACTIC BREAST BIOPSY PROCEDURES. CERTIFICATION DEMONSTRATES AN INDIVIDUAL SURGEON'S DEDICATION TO QUALITY PATIENT CARE AND PUBLIC SAFETY THROUGH ADHERENCETO ESTABLISHED STANDARDS FOR PERFORMANCE OF THESE PROCEDURES.
