THE ORGANIZATION REACHES OVER 200,000 PEOPLE, ACROSS ALL AGES AND A VARIETY OF DEMOGRAPHICS, EVERY YEAR THROUGH IN-PERSON PROGRAMMING, ONLINE OFFERINGS, AND ITS SUPPORT OF DOZENS OF PUBLIC HUMANITIES PROJECTS ACROSS WASHINGTON, DC. THESE PUBLIC HUMANITIES OFFERINGS ENGAGE AUDIENCES IN DISCUSSIONS ON COMMUNITY HISTORY, SOCIO-POLITICAL ISSUES, LITERATURE, ART HISTORY AND CRITICISM, AND MANY MORE TOPICS CONNECTED TO LIFE AND CULTURE IN THE CITY. HUMANITIESDC REACHES OUT TO ALL EIGHT WARDS ENCOURAGING PROSPECTIVE PROJECT DIRECTORS TO SEEK FUNDING FOR PUBLIC HUMANITIES PROJECTS THAT PROMOTE DIVERSITY, DIALOGUE, AND LIFE-LONG LEARNING.
