BALTIMORE YOUTH HOCKEY SERVED OVER 232 YOUNG PEOPLE BY PROVIDING ICE HOCKEY INSTRUCTION AND REGIONAL COMPETITION AT THE TRAVEL AND RECREATIONAL LEVELS. THIS INCLUDED A MITES (AGE 8 AND UNDER) HOCKEY INSTRUCTION PROGRAM OF 60 SKATERS.
BALTIMORE YOUTH HOCKEY HOSTS AN ANNUAL PONYTAIL TOURNAMENT TO PROMOTE THE GROWTH AND IMPROVEMENT OF GIRL'S ICE HOCKEY WHILE PROVIDING AN IMPORTANT REGIONAL COMPETITION. IN MARCH OF 2022 OVER 700 PLAYERS REPRESENTING 43 TEAMS PARTICIPATED IN THIS EVENT.
THE PATTERSON PARK PROGRAM, WHICH PROVIDES ICE HOCKEY INSTRUCTION AT NO COST TO CITY YOUTH WHO MIGHT NOT OTHERWISE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY. DURING THE 2021/2022 SEASON 80 YOUNGSTERS REGISTERED FOR THE PROGRAM AND 60 OF THOSE ATTENDED THE PROGRAM REGULARLY.
