KOPSC IS A SOCIAL AND RECREATIONAL CLUB WITH ALMOST 500 MEMBERS. THE CLUB'S MISSION IS TO PROMOTE INTEREST, ENJOYMENT, AND SKILL IN THE SPORT OF SKIING AND TO ENCOURAGE PARTICIPATION OF MEMBERS IN ORGANIZED SKI TRIPS AND SOCIAL EVENTS, AND FREE LEARN-TO SKI PROGRAMS.

SKI TRIPS: KOPSC RAN (7) SKI TRIPS WITH AN AVERAGE OF 32 PARTICIPANTS IN FY2021. IN ADDITION, TWO TRIPS WERE CANCELED DUE TO THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC. THE CLUB'S LEARN-TO-SKI PROGRAM WAS CANCELLED DUE TO A COVID SURGE. THE CLUB ALSO PAID DEPOSITS FOR THREE TRIPS THAT ARE SCHEDULED FOR 2023.
DURING THE PANDEMIC, MOST ACTIVITIES WERE FREE ONLINE SOCIAL EVENTS (ZOOM) FOR BOOK REVIEWS, WINE TASTING, AND SOCIALIZING. ONLINE EVENTS AVERAGED 15 PARTICIPANTS. DURING THE SUMMER MEMBERS WERE ABLE TO GATHER FOR AN OUTDOOR BANQUET AND PICNIC AND AVERAGED 110 PARTICIPANTS.
IN THE FALL, MONTHLY MEETINGS WERE HELD IN PERSON TO INFORM MEMBERS ABOUT UPCOMING TRIPS AND ACTIVITIES. ATTENDANCE AT IN-PERSON MEETINGS AVERAGED 70 MEMBERS. DURING THE WINTER, MONTHLY MEETINGS WERE HELD ON-LINE DUE TO A COVID SURGE. THE MEETINGS WERE TO INFORM THE MEMBERSHIP ABOUT SKI TRIPS AND PROVIDE INFORMATION FOR ON-LINE SOCIAL ACTIVITIES AS WELL AS ORGANIZE CHARITY DRIVE EVENTS FOR FOR LOCAL GROUP HOMES AND SHELTERS. ON-LINE MEETINGS WERE GENERALLY ATTENDED BY 50-60 MEMBERS PER MONTH. MEETINGS WILL RESUME IN PERSON WHEN FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL GUIDELINES PERMIT. THE GOVERNING BOARD MEETS ON-LINE AT LEAST MONTHLY AND ADDITIONALLY WHEN NECESSARY.
