THE INTERNATIONAL COALITION OF BLACK TRADE UNIONISTS (CBTU) IS AN ORGANIZATION COMPRISED OF MEMBERS FROM SEVENTY-SEVEN INTERNATIONAL AND NATIONAL UNIONS WITH FORTY TWO CHAPTERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. CBTU SEEKS TO ORGANIZE WORKERS, SUPPORT CIVIL RIGHTS INITIATIVES AND IMPROVE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR BLACK WORKERS. CBTU WORKS WITH CIVIC GROUPS TO IMPROVE LIVING AND WORKING CONDITIONS AND TO PROVIDE A VOICE FOR MINORITIES.
