FOR ANY NUMBER OF REASONS, RECEIVING CARE AT HOME -- WHETHER FOR ONGOING TREATMENT OR RECOVERING AFTER A HOSPITAL STAY -- CAN LIFT A PATIENT'S SPIRITS AND RECOVERY. CELEBRATING 50 YEARS, ADVENTIST HEALTHCARE HOME HEALTH SERVICES HAS BROUGHT HEALING HOME WITH COMPREHENSIVE, SKILLED SERVICES AND COMPASSIONATE CARE. IN 1983, WE EXPANDED OUR HOME HEALTH DIVISION TO INCLUDE ADVENTIST HOME ASSISTANCE, WHICH PROVIDES PRIVATE-DUTY NURSING SERVICES AND PERSONAL CARE FOR PATIENTS THAT REQUIRE ASSISTANCE TO STAY INDEPENDENT IN THEIR HOME. ADVENTIST CHOICE NURSING WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1995 TO OFFER A COST-EFFECTIVE OPTION FOR PRIVATE-DUTY AND SKILLED-NURSING SERVICES.CONTINUES ON SCHEDULE O.TODAY, ADVENTIST HOME HEALTH SERVICES' TEAM OF SKILLED NURSES, THERAPISTS AND SOCIAL WORKERS DELIVER COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES INCLUDING ADULT AND PEDIATRIC NURSING CARE, CARDIAC CARE, DIABETES CARE, WOUND/OSTOMY CARE, ONCOLOGY CARE, REHABILITATION SERVICES, MEDICAL SOCIAL SERVICES, HOME HEALTH AIDE SERVICES AND NUTRITION COUNSELING SERVICES. WE SERVE PATIENTS IN THEIR HOMES THROUGHOUT MONTGOMERY, PRINCE GEORGE'S, ST. MARY'S, CHARLES, CALVERT, ANNE ARUNDEL, FREDERICK, HOWARD COUNTIES. IN 2022, WE APPLIED FOR A CERTIFICATE OF NEED FOR CARROLL COUNTY. IN OCTOBER 2022, PLANNING TO OPEN SERVICES IN CARROLL COUNTY BEGAN. WE ALSO OFFER A FALLS PREVENTION EDUCATION PROGRAM TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FALLS AND INCREASE IN-HOME SAFETY, AS WELL AS OTHER SPECIALTY PROGRAMS, SUCH AS WOUND/OSTOMY CARE WITH OVERSIGHT BY A CERTIFIED WOUND NURSE.IN 2019, ADVENTIST HOME HEALTH RECEIVED THE HOMECARE ELITE AWARD FOR THE NINTH YEAR IN A ROW. THIS AWARD, WHICH RECOGNIZES THE TOP-PERFORMING HOME HEALTH AGENCIES IN THE UNITED STATES, IS DEVELOPED BY ABILITY NETWORK, AND SPONSORED BY DECISIONHEALTH, PART OF THE H3.GROUP.HOMECARE ELITE WINNERS ARE RANKED BY AN ANALYSIS OF PUBLICLY AVAILABLE PERFORMANCE MEASURES IN QUALITY CARE OUTCOMES, BEST PRACTICE IMPLEMENTATION, QUALITY IMPROVEMENT AND CONSISTENCY, PATIENT EXPERIENCE (HOME HEALTH CAHPS) AND FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE. OUT OF 8,818 AGENCIES CONSIDERED, 2,207 ARE RECOGNIZED ON THE WINNERS LIST. DUE TO COVID, HOMECARE ELITE AWARD WAS NOT PRESENTED SINCE 2020.ADVENTIST HOME HEALTH CONTINUES TO PROVIDE HIGH QUALITY CARE AND HAS BEEN GIVEN 4.5 STAR RATING BY CENTERS FOR MEDICARE AND MEDICAID SERVICES (CMS) HOME HEALTH COMPARE FOR OVER 4 YEARS. IN 2022, ADVENTIST HOME HEALTH WAS AT 81% FOR PATIENTS RECOMMENDING THE AGENCY, WHICH IS ABOVE THE NATIONAL AVERAGE OF 78% AND STATE AVERAGE OF 75%.
