HOSPITAL FOR CONSUMPTIVES OF MARYLAND PROVIDES, VIA GRANTS TO JOHNS HOPKINS HOSPITAL AND JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY, PATIENT CARE, TEACHING, AND RESEARCH ACTIVITIES RELATING TO TUBERCULOSIS AND OTHER CHRONIC OR LATENT DISEASES. SPECIFICALLY THE BOARD SUPPORTS THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS: 1) ADULT PULMONARY DIVISION, 2) PEDIATRIC PULMONARY DIVISION, 3) PEDIATRIC INFECTIOUS DISEASES DIVISION, 4) PEDIATRIC AND ADULT ALLERGY AND IMMUNOLOGY DIVISION, 5) PEDIATRIC NEONATOLOGY DIVISION, 6)PEDIATRIC DIVISION OF QUALITY AND SAFETY. ADDITIONALLY, THE BOARD FUNDS AND SUPPORTS THE BAURENSCHMIDT FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM ON A YEARLY BASIS.
