NEWBRIDGE PLACE PROVIDES 24-HOUR CARE AND LONG TERM HOUSING TO PEOPLE WITH CHRONIC MENTAL ILLNESS, WHOSE INDEPENDENT FUNCTIONING IS IMPAIRED. RESIDENTS TYPICALLY SUFFER FROM SEVERE AND PERSISTENT MENTAL ILLNESSES SUCH AS PARANOID SCHIZOPHRENIA, BIPOLAR DISORDERS, MAJOR AFFECTIVE DISORDERS, AND PTSD. MANY OF THE INDIVIDUALS SERVED ARE DUAL DIAGNOSED WITH DRUG AND ALCOHOL DEPENDENCE AND/OR SUFFER FROM PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS. DUE TO THE UNIQUE 24-HOUR STAFFING, TRAINING AND DEDICATION TO THIS POPULATION, MANY RESIDENTS WHO HAVE FAILED AT OTHER FACILITIES SUCCEED AT NEWBRIDGE PLACE IN MAINTAINING MORE INDEPENDENT LIVING. DURING OUR FISCAL YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2021, 32 RESIDENTS WERE SERVED.
