FREEDOM FOREVER MINISTRIES SERVES AS AN OUTREACH TO THE INCARCERATED WOMEN IN THE MCCRACKEN COUNTY KY REGIONAL JAIL, THE ROSS CASH MINIMUM SECURITY PRISON FOR WOMEN IN FREDONIAL KY AND THE KENTUCKY CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTE FOR WOMEN IN PEEWEE VALLEY KY. THE MINISTRY SERVES THE MCCRACKEN COUNTY JAIL WEEKLY ON MONDAYS AND FRIDAYS. THE ROSS-CASH FACILITY ON MONDAY EVENINGS WEEKLY AND THE CORRECTINAL INSTITUTE ON THURSDAYS WEEKLY AND SATURDAYS MONTHLY. DURING PRIOR YEARS THE MINISTRY SPENT MANY HOURS AT THE MCCRACKEN COUNTY JAIL WITH THE FEMALE INMATES. THE AVERAGE ATTENDENCE OF 20. DURING PRIOR YEARS APPROXIMATELY 200 PLUS HOURS WAS SPENT AT THE ROSS-CASH FACILTY WITH AN AVERAGE ATTENDENCE OF 20. THE MINISTRY ALSO SPENT AN ABOUT 200 HOURS AT THE KENTUCKY CORRECTIONAL FACILITY WITN AND AVERAGE OF 60 IN ATTENDENCE. FREEDOM FOREVER MINISTRIES HAD APPROXIMATELY 40 VOLUNTEERS IN ITS MINISTRY IN PRIOR YEARS. THE MINISTRY HAD TO ADAPT DUE TO LIMITATIONS RELATED TO COVID. BECAUSE OF COVID THE MINISTRY WAS NOT ALLOWED BACK INTO ANY FACILITY UNTIL JULY 2022. HOWEVER, THE MINISTRY USED A FOOD TRUCK "THE CONEY EXPRESS" TO TRAIN AT-RISK WOMEN IMPORTANT JOB SKILLS. A MINIMUM OF 40 HOURS PER WEEK WAS SPENT TRAINING AND MENTORING FORMER PRISONERS AND AT RISK WOMEN. WITH A CORE GROUP OF 5 TO 6 VOLUNTEERS HELPING THE FOOD TRUCK COACH THE YOUNG WOMEN TO LEARN AND IMPLEMENT JOB SKILLS.
