NATIONAL CHURCH RESIDENCES FOUNDATION IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION CERTIFIED AS A 501(C)(3) CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION. IN 1961, THE REVEREND JOHN R. GLENN AND FOUR OHIO PRESBYTERIAN CHURCHES FORMED THE PARENT COMPANY OF NATIONAL CHURCH RESIDENCES OUT OF A CHRISTIAN COMMITMENT TO SERVE OLDER ADULTS' HOUSING, SOCIAL, AND HUMAN NEEDS. NATIONAL CHURCH RESIDENCES FOUNDATION WAS SPUN OFF FROM THE PARENT COMPANY OF NATIONAL CHURCH RESIDENCES IN 2005 TO SEPARATE OUT THE PHILANTHROPIC FUNCTION OF THAT OHIO NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION. ITS PRIMARY FUNCTION IS TO PROVIDE CHARITY CARE FOR THE RESIDENTS OF COMMUNITIES OWNED AND OPERATED BY NATIONAL CHURCH RESIDENCES.NATIONAL CHURCH RESIDENCES FOUNDATION SUPPORTS THE MISSION OF NATIONAL CHURCH RESIDENCES WHO OWNS/MANAGES 300+ AFFORDABLE SENIOR AND FAMILY HOUSING COMMUNITIES IN 25 STATES, SERVING MORE THAN 25,000 RESIDENTS. IN ADDITION, NCR OPERATES TWENTY-THREE HEALTHCARE ENTITIES (SKILLED NURSING, ASSISTED LIVING, HOME HEALTH AND ADULT DAYCARE) IN OHIO AND FLORIDA. NATIONAL CHURCH RESIDENCES SUPPORTS AND IS AFFILIATED WITH SEVERAL OF THE NATION'S LEADING SENIOR, SOCIAL, AND HEALTH CARE ADVOCACY ORGANIZATIONS, THE LEADING AGE; THE NATIONAL AFFORDABLE HOUSING MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION (NAHMA); LEADING AGE OHIO.THE MISSION OF NATIONAL CHURCH RESIDENCES IS TO PROVIDE QUALITY HOUSING AND CARE AT AFFORDABLE PRICES IN COMMUNITIES OF CARING PERSONS.
