THE ORGANIZATION WAS ESTABLISHED FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES, GOALS, AND OBJECTIVES: TO PROMOTE UNITY, FRIENDSHIP AND GOOD WILL BETWEEN THE ACTIVE POLICE OFFICER AND RETIRED POLICE OFFICERS FOR THEIR MUTUAL BENEFIT; TO PROMOTE FELLOWSHIP, GOOD WILL AND COOPERATION BETWEEN THE MEMBERS FOR THEIR MUTUAL BENEFIT; TO PROMOTE FELLOWSHIP, GOOD WILL AND COOPERATION BETWEEN THE MEMBERS OF THIS ASSOCIATION AND THE PUBLIC AT LARGE; TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE NEW YORK STATE AND NEW YORK CITY RETIREMENT SYSTEMS FOR RETIRED POLICE OFFICERS AND THEIR BENEFICIARIES; TO MONITOR AND REPORT TO THE MEMBERSHIP REGARDING ANY ACTIVITIES OF ANY ORGANIZATION, MUNICIPALITY OR STATE WHICH MAY AFFECT THE RETIRED POLICE OFFICERS OR THEIR RETIREMENT SYSTEM.
