THE LEAGUE PROVIDED AFTER SCHOOL YOUTH ATHLETICS FOR 350 CHILDREN IN THE COMMUNITY FROM AGES 4 TO 12. CSLL RECRUITED ADULT VOLUNTEERS & PROVIDED TRAINING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO WORK WITH YOUTH IN A POSITIVE AND CARING MANNER. TRAINING INCLUDED LITTLE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL SPONSORED CLININCS, CPR, AND AED CERTIFICATION. CSLL ALSO PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIPS TO FAMILIES WITH FINANCIAL HARDSHIP. THE PROGRAM RUNS FROM JANUARY TO JULY, WHERE KIDS PARTICIPATE IN ONE TO THREE EVENTS PER WEEK. EXERCISE IS PROMOTED, ALONG WITH SPORTSMANSHIP. KIDS LEARN VALUE OF TEAMWORK AND GAIN VALUABLE SOCIAL SKILLS IN A SAFE AND HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT.
