Part 3 - Line 4a
THE DANFORTH HAS EVOLVED FROM BEING LIVINGSTON'S PREMIERE VENUE SHOWCASING CONTEMPORARY ART TO BECOMING PARK COUNTY'S FIRST ART MUSEUM. AS A MUSEUM, THE DMA'S VISION IS TO PRESERVE THE AREA'S ARTISTIC AND CULTURAL LEGACY BY BUILDING A PERMANENT COLLECTION OF ARTWORK BY LOCAL AND REGIONAL ARTISTS. THIS VISION INCLUDES SEARCHING OUT CONTEMPORARY WORK BY NONRESIDENT ARTISTS THAT IN SOME WAY IS CONNECTED TO THE REGION. ADDITIONALLY, THE DMA WILL FUNCTION AS A RESOURCE PROVIDING EDUCATION, EXPOSURE, AND ENTERTAINMENT. THE DMA'S GOAL IS TO TELL THE STORY OF ART IN THE COMMUNITY; WHERE WE HAVE BEEN, WHERE WE ARE, AND WHERE WE ARE GOING.
