ROTARY DISTRICT 5190 (PARTS OF CA AND NV) SUPPORTS THE EFFORTS OF ITS 58 CLUBS WITH ACTIVITIES INCLUDING DISTRICT CONFERENCE, DISTRICT ASSEMBLY AND OTHER MEETINGS AND EXPENSES FOR THE DISTRICT GOVERNOR, DISTRICT GOVERNOR ELECT AND DISTRICT GOVERNOR NOMINEE.

ALL EXPENSES OF ROTARY DISTRICT 5190 (PART CA AND PART NV) DISTRICT GOVERNOR, DISTRICT GOVERNOR ELECT, DISTRICT GOVERNOR NOMINEE, AND AREA GOVERNORS WERE PAID FOR THE CURRENT YEAR (JULY 1, 2020 TO JUNE 30, 2021). THE DISTRICT CONSISTS OF APPROXIMATELY 2,250 MEMBERS IN 58 CLUBS PROVIDING SERVICE TO OTHERS,PROMOTING HIGH ETHICAL STANDARDS, ADVANCING WORLD UNDERSTANDING, GOODWILL,AND PEACE THROUGH FELLOWSHIP OF BUSINESS, PROFESSIONAL, AND COMMUNITY LEADERS. THE DISTRICT SUPPORTS AND EDUCATES THE CLUB MEMBERS AND LEADERSHIP IN THIS ENDEAVOR.


THESE ARE GRANTS TO SPECIFIC CLUBS FOR PROJECTS OVER 5,000.


THE DISTRICT CONDUCTS NUMEROUS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR ROTARIANS. THESE INCLUDE THE AVENUES OF SERVICE SEMINAR AND THE DISTRICT ASSEMBLY (WHERE ROTARIANS LEARN HOW TO RUN THEIR CLUBS), THE DISTRICT CONFERENCE (WHERE ROTARIANS LEARN ABOUT THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THEIR FELLOW ROTARIANS BOTH LOCALLY AND WORLDWIDE), THE ROTARY ACADEMY (WHERE ROTARIANS LEARN HOW ROTARY FUNCTIONS IN DEPTH), AND PRESIDENT ELECT TRAINING SEMINAR. THE DISTRICT ALSO DOES MARKETING WITH-IN ITS BOUNDARIES TO EDUCATE THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN THE WORK OF ROTARY.


ANNUALLY, THE DISTRICT RECEIVES GRANT FUNDS FROM THE ROTARY FOUNDATION. THE AMOUNT RECEIVED EACH YEAR IS A PERCENTAGE OF THE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT THE ROTARIANS IN OUR DISTRICT MAKE TO THE ROTARY FOUNDATION LOCATED IN EVANSTON, IL. THE DISTRICT PROVIDES GRANTS DIRECTLY TO ROTARY CLUBS TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR THEIR QUALIFYING SCHOLARSHIPS, COMMUNITY OR INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS. GRANTS WERE MADE TO OVER 25 CLUBS IN THE DISTRICT. GRANT FUNDS WERE ALSO USED FOR A DISTRICT SPONSORED PROJECT.
