SYSTEM SAFETY SOCIETY PROVIDES PUBLICATIONS FOR MEMBERS TO DISSEMINATE NEWLY DEVELOPED KNOWLEDGE AND TO PROMOTE SYSTEM SAFETY TO ALL LEVELS OF MANAGEMENT, ENGINEERING AND OTHER PROFESSIONAL GROUPS IN THE APPLICATION OF SYSTEMS ENGINEERING AND SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT TO THE PROCESS OF HAZARD, SAFETY, AND RISK ANALYSIS TO IDENTIFY, ASSESS AND CONTROL ASSOCIATED HAZARDS WHILE DESIGNING OR MODIFYING SYSTEMS, PRODUCTS, OR SERVICES AND CONTINUING THROUGH TO DEVELOPMENT, FABRICATION, TESTING, PRODUCTION AND ULTIMATE DISPOSAL.
SYSTEM SAFETY SOCIETY CONDUCTS AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE TO PROMOTE SYSTEMS SAFETY TO ALL LEVELS OF MANAGEMENT, ENGINEERING AND OTHER PROFESSIONAL GROUPS; TO FOSTER COMMUNICATION WITHIN THE SYSTEM SAFETY PROFESSION AND WITH OTHER SCIENTIFIC, LEGAL, PUBLIC AND PROFESSIONAL GROUPS; AND TO ENCOURAGE RESEARCH INTO THE DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION OF NEW SAFETY MANAGEMENT, SCIENTIFIC AND ENGINEERING TECHNIQUES. THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE ALSO PROMOTES SYSTEM SAFETY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION AND ADVANCES THE STATE-OF-THE-ART SYSTEM SAFETY.
