HILLCREST HOME - MIC OPERATES A NURSING HOME LOCATED IN HARRISON, ARKANSAS. HILLCREST HOME HAS PROVIDED SPIRITUAL, PHYSICAL, AND EMOTIONAL CARE FOR APPROXIMATELY 258 ELDERLY CLIENTS. WHILE PROVIDING THIS CARE TO THE ELDERLY, YOUTH RECEIVING MINIMAL COMPENSATION ARE ENCOURAGED TO GROW SPIRITUALLY AND SERVE CHRIST BY SERVING OTHERS. THE EXTRA FUNDS GENERATED BY THE MINIMAL COMPENSATION TO THE YOUTH ARE THEN USED TO SUPPORT CHRISITIAN EVANGELISM THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.
MISSIONS AND OTHER ORGANIZATION ACTIVITY SUPPORT - DURING THE YEAR, MIC HAD VARIOUS MISSIONS ACTIVITIES LOCATED IN CANADA AND IRELAND. BELIEVERS FELLOWSHIP FOCUSES VARIOUS MINISTRY EFFORTS IN THREE COMMUNITIES IN NORTHWEST ONTARIO PLUS MANY SMALLER RESERVES. NATIVE AMERICAN INDIANS ARE PROVIDED VARIOUS SPIRITUAL AND SOCIAL PROGRAMS INCLUDING SUBSTANCE ABUSE, PERSONAL AND MARRIAGE COUNSELING, TUTORING IN TRIBAL BAND SCHOOLS, VACATION BIBLE SCHOOLS, AND LITERATURE DISTRIBUTION.SUPPORT WAS ALSO GIVEN TO MICS OPPERATION OF AMISH MENNONITE COMMUNITY LTD (AMC) IN IRELAND, WHICH STRESSES EVANGELISM THROUGH PERSONAL AND BUSINESS INTERACTIONS. AMC ALSO PROVIDES WORKPLACE TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT, HOSTS SEMINARS ON FAMILY LIVING, CHILD TRAINING AND RELATED TOPICS, OPERATES A CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, AND WORKS WITH TROUBLED YOUTH.
