ANNUAL CONFERENCE: ORGANIZED PROGRAMS TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL TRAINING FOR AND AUGMENT THE EXPERTISE OF PROFESSIONALS AND OTHERS WORKING IN THE FIELD OF MUSIC THERAPY.


ADVOCACY & GOVERNMENT RELATIONS: ADVOCACY FULFILLS THE MISSION OF AMTA BY "INCREASING ACCESS TO QUALITY MUSIC THERAPY SERVICES." AMTA EDUCATES THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE THERAPEUTIC VALUE OF MUSIC AND THE WAYS IN WHICH MUSIC THERAPY INTERVENTIONS AMELIORATE SYMPTOMS AND HELP TO MANAGE ILLNESS AND DISABILITIES. SELECT INFORMATION AND PROGRAMS ARE PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE TO THE PUBLIC, CONSUMERS, PARENTS, HEALTHCARE AND EDUCATION OFFICIALS AND OTHERS.
