THE HUNDREDS OF VOLUNTEERS OF THE MISS KANSAS ORGANIZATION WORK YEAR-ROUND TO PROMOTE THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF YOUNG WOMEN THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF KANSAS, INCLUDING THE COMMUNITY OF PRATT, KANSAS, WHICH HOSTS THE STATE FINALS OF THE MISS KANSAS PAGEANT. LOCAL PRELIMINARY PAGEANTS ARE HELD IN COMMUNITIES ACCROSS THE STATE FROM JULY THROUGH MARCH. MISS KANSAS REPRESENTS THE STATE OF KANSAS EACH YEAR AT THE MISS AMERICA PAGEANT. MISS KANSAS ALSO SPEAKS ABOUT HER PLATFORM. DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR, MISS KANSAS SPEAKS TO THOUSANDS OF STUDENTS STATEWIDE, ENCOURAGING THEM TO WORK TOWARDS POSITIVE GOALS. IN ADDITION, MISS KANSAS SPEAKS TO CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS ABOUT HER PLATFORM AND IDENTIFIES OPPORTUNITIES TO PARTNER WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO SUPPORT WORTHWHILE ISSUES THROUGHOUT THE STATE.
