TO RENEW THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH THROUGH THE PERSONAL AND CORPORATE SPIRITUAL FORMATION OF ITS MEMBERS.

WITH A PROGRAM LASTING TWO YEARS, THE RENOVARE INSTITUTE FOR CHRISTIAN SPIRITUAL FORMATION (RENOVARE INSTITUTE) PROVIDES AN IN DEPTH INTERACTION WITH CORE ORGANIZATIONAL IDEAS. IN FY 2020-21, THE CHICAGO COHORT WAS UNABLE TO FINISH THEIR FINAL RETREAT DUE TO COVID TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS. THE COHORT COMPLETED THE PROGRAM WITH THEIR RETREAT IN AUGUST 2021. THE CHARLOTTE COHORT BEGAN THE TWO-YEAR FORMAL EDUCATION PROGRAM WITH 42 STUDENTS, BUT ITS PROGRAM WAS ALSO DELAYED MIDSTREAM DUE TO COVID. THE COHORT COMPLETED YEAR 1 IN JULY 2021. THEY ALSO COMPLETED YEAR 2 THIS FISCAL YEAR, WITH RETREATS IN NOVEMBER 2021 AND JUNE 2022. THE PHOENIX COHORT BEGAN AND HAS 46 STUDENTS. THEY HAVE COMPLETED YEAR 1 WITH RETREATS IN SEPTEMBER 2021 AND MARCH 2022.
CONFERENCES AND RETREATS ARE PLANNED AND FACILITATED TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO PRACTICE A MEANINGFUL SPIRITUAL LIFE. IN FY 2021-22, DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS LIFTED, CONFERENCES AND RETREATS WERE ABLE TO RESUME. IN APRIL 2022, RENOVARE HAD THEIR INAUGURAL PASTORS RETREAT, FIRST LOVE. 47 PASTORS FROM ACROSS THE UNITED STATES WERE IN ATTENDANCE. THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE BURNING HEART RESUMED RETREATS. IN MAY PARTICIPANTS GATHERED IN MALIBU CA TO CONTINUE LISTENING GROUPS. IN ADDITION TO THIS RETREAT, FACILITATORS ALSO MET TO BE TRAINED IN LEADING GROUPS.
SPIRITUAL FORMATION EDUCATION IS A CORE OF RENOVARE'S MINISTRY AND HAS BEEN AN EMPHASIS FOR FY 2021-22. THIS GENERAL EDUCATION OCCURS THROUGH VARIOUS PLATFORMS: SUCH AS PODCASTS VIA THE WEBSITE (RENOVARE.ORG), THE ONLINE RENOVARE BOOK CLUB WITH ALMOST 1,800 PARTICIPANTS, NEW ONLINE COURSES, AND VARIOUS SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS. RENOVARE HAS CONTINUED WEBINARS THAT WERE CREATED IN RESPONSE TO LIMITED IN PERSON GATHERINGS. WEBINARS ARE EVERY TWO MONTHS, WITH AN AVERAGE WEBINAR HAVING 1,000 REGISTRATIONS. RENOVARE HAS ALSO PARTNERED WITH FOOD FOR THE HUNGRY (FH) TO PROVIDE ONLINE SPIRITUAL FORMATION EDUCATION FOR USE BY FH LEADERS AND WORKERS IN VARIOUS AREAS OF THE WORLD.
