THE CHILD AND ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM (CACFP) IS A FEDERALLY FUNDED NUTRITION PROGRAM ADMINISTERED BY THE KANSAS STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. THIS PROGRAM REIMBURSES FOR MEALS SERVED TO DAYCARE CHILDREN. ANY LICENSED OR GROUP DAYCARE HOME IS ELIGIBLE TO ENROLL IN THE CHILD AND ADULT FOOD PROGRAM. SUNSHINE CONNECTIONS, INC. IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION SPONSORING A CHILD AND ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM COVERING NORTH WESTERN AND CENTRAL KANSAS. THERE IS NO COST TO BELONG TO THE CHILD AND ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM. ALL CACFP SPONSORING ORGANIZATIONS FOLLOW THE SAME USDA REGULATIONS.
