TO AID CHILDREN BETWEEN THE AGES OF 5-17 FROM SINGLE PARENT, GRANDPARENT, AND FOSTER FAMILIES, WHERE APPROPRIATE, IN THEIR GROWTH INTO HEALTHY AND FUNCTIONAL ADULT MEMBERS OF SOCIETY; TO ASSIST THESE CHILDREN IN THEIR SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL, AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT THROUGH TECHNIQUES IN HUMAN SERVICES DEVELOPED AND UTILIZED BY THE CORPORATION, BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF AMERICA, AND OTHER LAY AND PROFESSIONAL PERSONS; AND TO PROVIDE SELECTED SPECIAL SERVICES TO THE FAMILIES OF THESE CHILDREN AS NEEDED.
TO PROVIDE ONGOING SUPPORTIVE SERVICES TO VOLUNTEER BIG BROTHERS AND BIG SISTERS WHO HAVE SIGNIFICANT INFLUENCE IN THE LIVES OF CHILDREN.
