CWF PROVIDED FREE TAX PREPARATION SERVICES (VITA) BY OPERATING 14 TAX SITES IN TWO PA COUNTIES: PHILADELPHIA AND MONTOGOMERY, AS WELL AS 3 TAX SITES IN TWO SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY COUNTIES: CAPE MAY, AND CUMBERLAND. A TOTAL OF 26,831 FEDERAL RETURNS AND 14,065 STATE RETURNS WERE PREPARED IN FISCAL YEAR 2021. DURING THE EXTENDED TAX SEASON CWF OPERATED 6 TAX SITES AND THE VIRTUAL PROGRAM UNTIL OCTOBER 15, 2021. IN EXTENDED SEASON, WE PREPARED OVER 4391 FEDERAL AND STATE TAX RETURNS THROUGH THE VIRTUAL PROGRAM.
RESOURCE BUILDING: CWF OFFERS TAXPAYERS ACCESS TO SAVINGS PRODUCTS, HELP WITH 3,600+ REFERRALS FOR CREDIT COUNSELING, FINANCIAL EDUCATION, INFORMATION ABOUT AND APPLICATION ASSISTANCE FOR PUBLIC BENEFITS. CWF COMPLETED SCREENING OF 2,700 CLIENTS FOR 29 PUBLIC BENEFITS AND SUBMITTED OVER 720 APPLICATIONS FOR ELIGIBLE CLIENTS TO RECEIVE PUBLIC BENEFITS. OF THESE, 2,120 APPLICANTS RECEIVED ADDITIONAL BENEFITS.
