COLLECTIVE IMPACT: COLLECTIVE IMPACT IS A FRAMEWORK FOR STRUCTURING LARGE-SCALE, CROSS-SECTOR COLLABORATION TO ADDRESS COMPLEX PROBLEMS THAT NO ONE ORGANIZATION OR SECTOR CAN ADEQUATELY ADDRESS ON ITS OWN. SINCE FEBRUARY 2021, THE ACCELERATOR HAS SERVED AS THE "BACKBONE ORGANIZATION FOR OUR REGION'S CLIMATE-FOCUSED COLLECTIVE IMPACT INITIATIVE, AND IS THEREFORE RESPONSIBLE FOR FACILITATING AND COORDINATING THE COLLABORATIVE WORK. IN APRIL 2022, THE INITIATIVE PRODUCED A REGIONAL CLIMATE ACTION STRATEGY, FOCUSED ON SHORT-TERM ENABLERS OF LONG-TERM PROGRESS THAT WILL SET OUR REGION ON COURSE TO ACHIEVE THE GOALS OF NYS'S CLIMATE AND COMMUNITY PROTECTION ACT, WHILE MAXIMIZING THE CO-BENEFITS OF CLIMATE ACTION FOR LOCAL RESIDENTS. (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)FOR THE NEXT 3-5 YEARS, THE INITIATIVE'S EFFORTS WILL FOCUS ON IMPLEMENTING THIS STRATEGY.
COLOR YOUR COMMUNITY GREEN: THE ACCELERATOR IS MOBILIZING CLIMATE ACTION ACROSS THE NINE-COUNTY REGION THROUGH OUR COLOR YOUR COMMUNITY GREEN (CYCG) INITIATIVE. CYCG AIMS TO CONNECT AND ORGANIZE CONCERNED INDIVIDUALS, BY MUNICIPALITY OR NEIGHBORHOOD, TO FORM A NETWORK OF CLIMATE-FOCUSED CITIZEN ACTION TEAMS THAT IDENTIFY AND ADVOCATE FOR LOCALLY-RELEVANT, HIGH-IMPACT CLIMATE SOLUTIONS. CYCG TEAMS ARE LEADING THEIR COMMUNITIES' TRANSITION TO CLEAN ENERGY, WITH SUPPORT FROM THE ACCELERATOR, AND WITH AN EMPHASIS ON ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE AND EQUITABLE CLIMATE SOLUTIONS.
HEATSMART MONROE: HEATSMART IS A LIMITED-TIME, NYSERDA-FUNDED COMMUNITY EDUCATION CAMPAIGN, INTENDED TO JUMPSTART THE RATE OF HOMEOWNERS ADOPTING BOTH BUILDING ENVELOPE AND HEAT PUMP TECHNOLOGIES. BY OFFERING LOWER-THAN-MARKET RATE PRICING AND A SIMPLE PROCESS WITH VETTED INSTALLATION PARTNERS, THE PROGRAM MAKES HOME ENERGY EFFICIENCY MORE EASILY ACCESSIBLE FOR BOTH RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS. THIS PROGRAM IS NEARING COMPLETION AND WILL SOON BE REPLACED BY NYSERDA'S REGIONAL CLEAN ENERGY HUB PROGRAM. (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O) THIS PROGRAM IS FUNDED BY A THREE YEAR GRANT FROM NEW YORK STATE ENERGY RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY. FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2022, $92,106 WAS RECEIVED FROM NEW YORK STATE ENERGY RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY.
