THE VIRGINIA CIVIC ENGAGEMENT TABLE STRENGTHENS AND CONNECTS VIRGINIAS PROGRESSIVE NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND ACTIVISTS AND ACTS AS A HUB FOR THE LARGER PROGRESSIVE COMMUNITY. WE BELIEVE OUR COMMONWEALTH WORKS BEST WHEN EVERY VOICE IS HEARD.

CIVIC ENGAGEMENT - VCET PROVIDES TOOLS AND RESOURCES TO ITS PARTNERS AND TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE COMMONWEALTH TO ENGAGE MORE OFTEN AND MORE EFFECTIVELY WITH THEIR GOVERNMENT.


VIRGINIA PROGRESSIVE LEADERSHIP PROJECT - THE VAPLP IS A YEAR-LONG PROGRAM DESIGNED TO IDENTIFY AND DEVELOP EMERGING, DIVERSE LEADERS IN VIRGINIA. AT THE CORE OF THE PROGRAM IS A COMMITMENT TO CREATING A PROGRESSIVE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT MODEL THAT WORKS TO ADDRESS STRUCTURAL AND RACIAL INEQUITIES. THE CURRICULUM INCLUDES TRAINING ON FUNDRAISING, STORY TELLING, BOARD DEVELOPMENT, COMMUNITY ORGANIZING AND RELATIONSHIP BUILDING.
