UNLOOP ENABLES PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN IN PRISON TO SUCCEED IN CAREERS IN TECH. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES EDUCATION AND RE-ENTRY SUPPORT SERVICES FOR CURRENTLY AND FORMERLY INCARCERATED INDIVIDUALS.

EDUCATION: FOUR UNLOOP PARTICIPANTS PLACED INTO EMPLOYMENT (THREE INTERNSHIPS AND ONE FULL-TIME HIRE). THREE UNLOOP PARTICIPANTS SUPPORTED TO SECURE EMPLOYMENT THROUGH NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, AND PROVIDING JOB LEADS. WE ALSO SPENT TIME REVISING THE UNLOOP MISSION, STRATEGIC PLAN, AND PROGRAM OFFERINGS, AND HIRING KEY STAFF MEMBERS, INCLUDING AN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO MANAGE OUR PROGRAMS AND OPERATIONS.
STUDIO: IN 2021, UNLOOP CONTINUED TO TAKE ON CONTRACT WORK TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL LEARNING EXPERIENCES TO PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS. THE STUDIO WORKED WITH TWO CLIENTS, AND PROVIDED ONE STUDENT WITH PROFESSIONAL MENTORSHIP AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES. UNLOOP PAUSED THE STUDIO PROGRAM IN FOR SEVERAL MONTHS NEAR THE END 2021 WHILE WE RE-EVALUATE ITS IMPACT AND ROLE IN ACHIEVING UNLOOP'S MISSION. WE WILL CONSIDER BEGINNING OPERATIONS OF THIS PROGRAM AGAIN IN 2022.
