DURING THIS YEAR THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS WERE OFFERED:EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS THE EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS PROGRAM IS A SPECIAL INITIATIVE OF THE CALIFORNIA ARTS COUNCIL TO SUPPORT THE CAPACITY AND ABILITY OF SISKIYOU ARTS AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS, ARTISTS, AND COMMUNITIES AT-LARGE TO RESPOND EFFECTIVELY TO DISASTERS AND EMERGENCIES THAT MAY AFFECT OUR COMMUNITIES.I CREATE WHAT I BELIEVE THE I CREATE WHAT I BELIEVE! PROGRAM IS AN ARTS PROGRAM DESIGNED TO HELP BOTH CHILDREN AND ADULTS TRANSFORM OLD BELIEFS, PERCEPTIONS, AND BEHAVIORS THAT HINDER THEIR ABILITY TO SUCCEED. POETRY OUT LOUD POETRY OUT LOUD IS A NATIONAL ARTS EDUCATION PROGRAM THAT ENCOURAGES HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO LEARN ABOUT GREAT POETRY THROUGH MEMORIZATION AND PERFORMANCE. POETRY OUT LOUD OFFERS EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS AND A DYNAMIC RECITATION COMPETITION TO HIGH SCHOOLS ACROSS THE COUNTRY.SCRAPS ART CART - THE SCRAPS ART CART PROGRAM PROMOTES UNDERSTANDING OF AND FACILITATES CREATIVE ACTION ON CURRENT ISSUES THAT WE FACE IN OUR COMMUNITY, BY OFFERING FREE TRAVELING ECO-EDUCATIONAL ART ACTIVITIES FOR ALL AGES.ARTS MUTUAL AID NETWORK - WITH THE NEWLY DEVELOPED MUTUAL AID FUND, THE SISKIYOU COUNTY ARTS COUNCIL IS PLANNING MORE NIMBLE GIVING AND SUPPORT FOR LOCAL ARTS/ARTISTS DURING EMERGENCY SITUATIONS.USPS COLLABORATIVE ART PROJECT - WITH FUNDING FROM THE COMMUNITY ARTS ENDOWMENT OF THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF THE NORTH STATE THE COUNTY ARTS COUNCIL PRODUCED A COLLABORATIVE ART PROJECT TO CREATE A COLLABORATIVE ARTWORK.DUNSMUIR LIVE!
