TO INTEGRATE THE ARTS INTO THE DAILY LIVES OF RESIDENTS AND VISITORS OF SISKIYOU COUNTY. THE COUNCIL IS DESIGNATED BY THE SISKIYOU COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO PARTNER WITH THE CALIFORNIA ARTS COUNCIL IN THEIR STATE LOCAL PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM.

DURING THE FY 22-23, THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS WERE OFFERED: THE EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS/MUTUAL AID FUND PROGRAM IS AN INITIATIVE TO SUPPORT THE CAPACITY AND ABILITY OF SISKIYOU ARTS AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS, ARTISTS, AND COMMUNITIES AT-LARGE TO RESPOND EFFECTIVELY TO DISASTERS AND EMERGENCIES THAT MAY AFFECT OUR COMMUNITIES. THE "I CREATE WHAT I BELIEVE!" PROGRAM IS AN ARTS PROGRAM DESIGNED TO HELP BOTH CHILDREN AND ADULTS TRANSFORM OLD BELIEFS, PERCEPTIONS, AND BEHAVIORS THAT HINDER THEIR ABILITY TO SUCCEED. POETRY OUT LOUD IS A NATIONAL ARTS EDUCATION PROGRAM THAT ENCOURAGES HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO LEARN ABOUT GREAT POETRY THROUGH MEMORIZATION AND PERFORMANCE. POETRY OUT LOUD OFFERS EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS AND A DYNAMIC RECITATION COMPETITION TO HIGH SCHOOLS ACROSS THE COUNTRY. THE SCRAPS ART CART PROGRAM PROMOTES UNDERSTANDING OF AND FACILITATES CREATIVE ACTION ON CURRENT ISSUES THAT WE FACE IN OUR COMMUNITY, BY OFFERING FREE TRAVELING ECO-EDUCATIONAL ART ACTIVITIES FOR ALL AGES. "DUNSMUIR LIVE!" IS A HISTORIC PRESERVATION, THEATER, AND LIVE PERFORMANCE PLACEMAKING INITIATIVE IN DUNSMUIR TO ENCOURAGE ECONOMIC AND CULTURAL ACTIVITY IN THE DOWNTOWN CORE OF DUNSMUIR. ARTS DIRECTORY IS AN ONLINE LISTING OF ARTISTS AND ARTS ORGANIZATIONS IN SISKIYOU COUNTY TO INCREASE EXPOSURE FOR SISKIYOU COUNTY ARTISTS AND ARTS ORGANIZATIONS. ART RADIO IS AN ARTIST INTERVIEW PODCAST SERIES HOSTED BY THE ARTS COUNCIL FEATURING ARTISTS AND CREATORS FROM SISKIYOU COUNTY DISCUSSING THEIR ARTISTIC PRACTICE. ART DROP IS A SERIES OF FREE ART SUPPLY SHARE STATIONS IN THE MOST REMOTE COMMUNITIES IN SISKIYOU COUNTY. BASED ON THE 'LITTLE FREE LIBRARY' MODEL, ART DROP STATIONS PROVIDE FREE AND ACCESSIBLE SPACE TO SHARE ART SUPPLIES AND PROJECTS AS WELL AS SERVE AS A PIECE OF PUBLIC ART. THE CALIFORNIA CREATIVE CORPS PILOT PROGRAM IS A MEDIA, OUTREACH, AND ENGAGEMENT CAMPAIGN DESIGNED TO INCREASE AWARENESS RELATED TO ISSUES SUCH AS PUBLIC HEALTH, WATER AND ENERGY CONSERVATION, CLIMATE MITIGATION, AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS, RELIEF, AND RECOVERY.
