2021 WAS A CHALLENGING YEAR FOR THE COUNTRY OF CAMBODIA. CAMBODIA WAS WITHOUT ANY COVID CASES, UNTIL MARCH OF 2021. OUR STUDENTS WERE SENT HOME AT THIS TIME, BUT WE SUCCESSFULLY MANAGED TO KEEP THEIR EDUCATION GOING THROUGH ONLINE LEARNING AND REMOTE ASSIGNMENTS. WE CONTINUED TO PAY OUR STAFF AT ALL LOCATIONS AND FOLLOWED GOVERNMENT INSTRUCTIONS DURING SPIKES IN COVID CASES. AS TOURISM CAME TO A COMPLETE HALT, FOOD DELIVERY TO THE REMOTE COMMUNITIES IN NORTHERN CAMBODIA WAS A PRIMARY OBJECTIVE AT THE BEGINNING OF 2021. IN JULY OF 2021, OUR BOARD DECIDED TO FOCUS ON THE 2ND PHASE OF OUR CAMPUS IN SIEM REAP. WE REACHED OUT TO OUR ARCHITECT AND CONTRACTORS TO DETERMINE A DESIGN AND APPROPRIATE COST OF BUILDING THE 2ND PHASE. IN SEPTEMBER, WE RAISED ENOUGH FUNDS THROUGH OUR ANNUAL FUNDRAISER TO CONTINUE THE 2ND PHASE. CONSTRUCTION STARTED IN LATE SEPTEMBER 2021 AND WAS 50% DONE BY THE END OF 2021. IT IS STILL ON SCHEDULE AND IS EXPECTED TO BE COMPLETED IN MAY OF 2022. SCHOOL RESUMED IN JANUARY OF 2022 AND MUCH OF NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER WAS DEDICATED TO THE SCHOOL'S REOPENING.
