TO PROVIDE ALL RICHMOND MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS WITH ACCESS TO COORDINATED, HIGH-QUALITY LEARNING EXPERIENCES BEYOND THE CLASSROOM. WE BELIEVE THAT WHEN STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN HIGH-QUALITY OUT-OF-SCHOOL TIME (OST) PROGRAMS, THEY BENEFIT ACADEMICALLY, PHYSICALLY AND SOCIALLY.

AT ITS CORE, NEXTUP INCREASES SCHOOLS AND STUDENTS ACCESS TO ENRICHING ACTIVITIES SO THAT YOUTH CAN CONTINUE TO GROW BEYOND THE SCHOOL DAY. WE WANT TO MAKE SURE YOUNG PEOPLE ARE LEARNING-BUT ALSO THAT THEY'RE PRODUCTIVE, ENGAGED AND HAVING FUN! TO ACCOMPLISH THIS, NEXTUP WORKS TIRELESSLY ON ALL FRONTS. WE COORDINATE LOCAL AFTERSCHOOL ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES, PROMOTE AWARENESS THROUGH PUBLIC EDUCATION, SPONSOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF OUR PROVIDERS, AND STRENGTHEN THE POLICIES THAT SUPPORT OUT-OF-SCHOOL TIME. MUCH LIKE THE KIDS WE HELP, WE NEVER STOP LEARNING. NEXTUP CONTINUALLY MEASURES THE EFFECT OF OUR EFFORTS AND USES WHAT WE LEARN TO REFINE AND IMPROVE OUR SYSTEM.
