PNPI HOSTED SIX ZOOM BRIEFINGS, AND THREE VIRTUAL TRAININGS. THE TRAININGS FOCUSED ON STUDENT LOAN REPAYMENT, FEDERAL STUDENT AID, AND PROGRAM INTEGRITY ISSUES. THE ZOOM BRIEFINGS FOCUSED ON DATA, THE IMPACT OF THE PANDEMIC ON STUDENTS AND INSTITUTIONS, FEDERAL STUDENT LOAN DEBT, AND THE FEDERAL NEGOTIATED RULEMAKING PROCESS.
PNPI HOSTED TWO RESEARCHER SPOTLIGHTS AND THREE VIRTUAL COURSES FOR PROSPECTIVE POLICYMAKERS - INDIVIDUALS WHO HOPE TO SOMEDAY WORK IN FEDERAL POSTSECONDARY POLICY.THE COURSES FOCUSED ON FEDERAL NEED ANALYSIS, FEDERAL STUDENT AID, AND PROGRAM INTEGRITY ISSUES AND PROVIDED PARTICIPANTS WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXPAND THEIR CONTENT KNOWLEDGE WHILE NETWORKING WITH PROFESSIONALS CURRENTLY IN THE FIELD. THE RESEARCHER SPOTLIGHTS INTRODUCED PARTICIPANTS TO UP-AND-COMING POSTSECONDARY RESEARCHERS.PNPI ALSO HOSTED A HIGHER EDUCATION SYMPOSIUM FOR PNPI ALUMNI, A HIGHER EDUCATION TRIVIA EVENT, A LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR EMERGING LEADERS IN THE FEDERAL EDUCATION POLICY SPACE, AND A LEADERS' REFRESHER WORKSHOP ON TEAM BUILDING. EMERGING LEADER SESSIONS FOCUSED ON TEAM BUILDING, MEETING DESIGN, COMMUNICATING ABOUT EQUITY, AND EXECUTIVE PRESENCE. SHORTER SKILL LESSONS AND PEER COACHING WERE ALSO OFFERED. THE ALUMNI SYMPOSIUM FOCUSED ON FEDERAL STUDENT AID RELATED CONTENT, CONVERSATIONS WITH LEADERS IN THE SPACE, AND SKILLS WORKSHOPS FOCUSED ON MEETING DESIGN AND PRESENTATION SKILLS.
PNPI SPONSORED A VIRTUAL SUMMER SCHOLARS INTERN PROGRAM FOR TWO POSTSECONDARY STUDENTS WITH DEMONSTRATED FINANCIAL NEED. SUMMER SCHOLARS WERE PAID FOR THEIR WORK.
