WE HELD SEVEN OUTDOOR TROOP BOX PACKING EVENTS AT VARIOUS PLACES, INVOLVING THE PUBLIC IN DONATING ITEMS, MONEY AND LABOR TO PREPARE CARE PACKAGES THAT WE MAILED TO OUR ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY, PRIMARILY THOSE WHO ARE DEPLOYED BUT ALSO TO SOME SERVING STATESIDE. THE EVENTS SERVED TO INFORM THOSE ATTENDING OF THE SERVICES AND SACRIFICES OF OUR TROOPS. THE CARE PACKAGES SENT RAISED THE LEVEL OF MORALE OF OUR TROOPS, AND THEIR FAMILIES BY SHOWING THEM THERE IS A COMMUNITY THAT CARES. WE HAD INFORMATION BOOTHS WHERE WE PROVIDED PROMOTIONAL ITEMS TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. WE INFORMED THE PUBLIC OF OUR MISSION. WE ENCOURAGED THE PUBLIC TO WRITE LETTERS AND CARDS FOR OUR MILITARY PERSONNEL. CARDS AND LETTERS WERE LATER INCLUDED IN OUR CARE PACKAGES. WE PROVIDED ASSISTANCE TO FAMILY MEMBERS OF FALLEN MILITARY BY FACITITATING SUPPORT GROUPS AND PARTICIPATING IN WELCOMING HOME FALLEN SOLDIER. WE ASSISTED VETERANS AND ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY IN NEED WITH MONETARY GIFTS, FLAGS, DEBT RELIEF AND OTHER ITEMS NEEDED. WE SPRUCED UP VETERANS GRAVES AT LOCAL CEMETERIES. WE ORDERED WREATHS AND PLACED WREATHS WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS ON VETERANS' GRAVES DURING THE WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA PROGRAM. WE SUPPORTED AND RECOGNIZED STUDENTS IN THE JROTC,NAVAL SEA CADETS AND OTHER HIGH SCHOOL CLUBS. WE WERE SUPPORTED BY AND WORKED WITH LOCAL COMMUNITY GROUPS AND BUSINESSES.
