ECCWYK SEEKS TO DEVELOP A SUSTAINABLE EARLY CHILDOOD SYSTEM, WHICH INCLUDES: (1)PROVIDING TRAINING TO LOCAL CARE PROVIDERS; (2) RAISING COMMUNITY AWARENESS OF EARLY CHILDHOOD ISSUES; (3)COLLABORATING WITH LOCAL STAKEHOLDERS. THIS WORK EXTENDS ACROSS YUMA, WASHINGTON, AND KIT CARSON COUNTIES IN NORTHEASTERN COLORADO.
ECCYWK HELPS CHILD CARE PROGRAMS ACCESS AND NAVIGATE THE RESOURCES AVAILABLE THROUGH THE COLORADO SHINES RATING & IMPROVEMENT SYSTEM. THIS INCLUDES ADMINISTERING FINANCIAL INCENTIVES PROVIDERS CAN USE TO PURCHASE SUPPLIES AND MATERIALS.
ECCYWK RECEIVED A GRANT FROM THE COLORADO HEALTH FOUNDATION TO SUPPORT FAMILY, FRIEND, AND NEIGHBOR ("FFN") CAREGIVERS. THIS INCLUDES PROVIDING FFN CAREGIVERS WITH INFORMATION AND RESOURCES ON BEST PRACTICES, AS WELL AS PROVIDING THEM WITH OPPORTUNITIES FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT.
