BY PROVIDING A NETWORK OF GROOMED TRAILS, MAPS, AND SIGNS NORTH SHORE NORDIC ASSOCIATION ENCOURAGES AND FACILITATES ACTIVE LIVING AND EXPLORATION OF THE OUTDOORS IN WINTER. THE SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSE OF THIS ORGANIZATION SHALL BE: 1. TO PROVIDE GROOMED SKI TRAILS ON THE NORTH SHORE OF MASSACHUSETTS. 2. TO INCREASE VISIBILITY AND APPEAL OF NORDIC SKIING FOR AREA RESIDENTS. 3. TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE NORDIC SKIING, AND THE NUMBER OF DAYS PEOPLE ARE SKIING. 4. TO PROMOTE THE SPORT OF NORDIC SKIING. SINCE OUR INCEPTION IN NOVEMBER OF 2015 WE HAVE: O RAISED OVER 57,000 FROM CORPORATE SPONSORS, GRANTS AND INDIVIDUAL DONORS. O PURCHASED A GROOMER, SNOWMOBILE, AND TRAILER. O SECURED INSURANCE POLICIES TO COVER ALL ASPECTS OF THE GROOMING OPERATION. O GROOMED TRAILS IN BRADLEY PALMER STATE PARK, APPLETON FARMS AND GRASS RIDES, PINGREE SCHOOL, PINGREE WOODLAND, AND PATTON PARK. O PARTNERED WITH DCR, GREENBELT, AND ECTA TO FUND TRAIL RESTORATION AND RECRUIT COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS FOR TRAIL WORK DAYS. O DEVELOPED A WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE TO PROVIDE UP TO DATE GROOMING REPORTS, POST VOLUNTEER EVENTS AND SUPPORT FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES. DURING OUR FOURTH SKI SEASON, WE HAVE GREAT AMBITIONS TO GET MORE PEOPLE OUTON THE TRAILS ON SKIS AND SNOWSHOES.
