REGIONAL SERIES - THE USASA COMPETITORS TOTALING OVER 5,000 QUALIFY FOR THE USASA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS BY BECOMING MEMBERS AND COMPETING IN THEIR LOCAL USASA REGIONAL SERIES SANCTIONED EVENTS HELD THROUGHOUT THE YEAR ACROSS THE NATION. THERE ARE 31 REGIONAL SERIES THROUGHOUT THE NATION WHICH BEGAN IN 1988. USASA OFFERS FREE SKIERS AND SNOWBOARDER FROM AGES OF 7 TO 70 FOR MEN, WOMEN, BOYS AND GIRLS TO COMPETE AGAINST OTHERS IN THEIR AGE GROUPS.
NATIONALS - THE UNITED STATES SNOWBOARD ASSOCIATION HOLDS THE LARGEST FREESKI/SNOWBOARD NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITION IN THE US WITH OVER 1,460 INVITED/QUALIFIED AMATEUR COMPETITORS. USASA DISTRIBUTED OVER 75 SCHOLARSHIPS THIS YEAR TO QUALIFIED ATHLETES WHO DEMONSTRATED ACADEMIC AS WELL AS ATHLETICISM.
TRAINERS' DIVISION - USASA OFFERS TRAINING, CONTINUING EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION FOR COACHES, JUDGING, AND TECHNICAL SUPERVISORS WITHIN THE USASA FOR ITS MEMBERSHIP YEAR ROUND. USASA ACKNOWLEDGED OVER 200 NEW OR RENEWING JUDGES CERTIFICATIONS AS WELL AS 500 NEW COACHING CERTIFICATIONS THIS YEAR.
