PIANOS FOR PEOPLE BREAKS DOWN FINANCIAL BARRIERS THAT PREVENT THOSE FROM DISADVANTAGED BACKGROUNDS FROM ACCESSING THE MANY WELL-DOCUMENTED BENEFITS OF PLAYING THE PIANO. WE PROVIDE ACCESS TO MUSIC TO THOSE WHOSE LIVES NEED IT MOST BY PROVIDING QUALITY PIANOS, LESSONS, SUMMER CAMPS AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES AT NO COST.SINCE OUR INCEPTION IN 2012, PIANOS FOR PEOPLE HAS SOURCED (DONATED), SERVICED AND DELIVERED OVER 300 FREE QUALITY PIANOS TO PEOPLE WHO COULD NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD AN INSTRUMENT. IN 2021, WE WERE ABLE TO SOURCE, SERVICE AND DELIVER 39 PIANOS. SEE SCHEDULE OOUR FIRST FREE PIANO SCHOOL OPENED IN 2014 IN SOUTH ST. LOUIS WITH JUST 40 STUDENTS AND, AS OF 2021, HAS A STUDENT BODY OF 120 STUDENTS TAKING REGULAR WEEKLY LESSONS. WE OPENED OUR FIRST SATELLITE STUDIO IN OCTOBER 2016 IN FERGUSON, MO, OFFERING GROUP AND PRIVATE LESSONS, MUSIC PRODUCTION WORKSHOPS, AND EVENTS. OUR FREE SUMMER MUSIC CAMPS OFFER A SAFE, ENRICHING ACTIVITY DURING THOSE CRITICAL OUT-OF-SCHOOL HOURS. THIS PAST SUMMER OVER 160 YOUTH PARTICIPATED IN ONLINE PROGRAMS OVER A TWO-WEEK PERIOD.IN ADDITION TO MUSIC EDUCATION, OUR EFFORTS CENTER AROUND PERSONAL GROWTH AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT INCLUDING CONFIDENCE BUILDING, SELF-DISCIPLINE AND AN EMOTIONAL WELLBEING.
