(OANV) IS WORKING IN DIRECT PARTNERSHIP WITH HOME MEANS NEVADA TO SUPPORT NEVADANS FACING EVICTION. EVICTION MEDIATION NAVIGATORS WORK DIRECTLY WITH STAKEHOLDERS IN THE EVICTION PROCESS AS CONDUITS AND CONSOLIDATORS OF INFORMATION BETWEEN RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMMING (CHAPS), TENANTS, LANDLORDS, AND MEDIATORS.
STARTING IN MARCH 2020, OANV BEGAN A VOLUNTEER FINANCIAL NAVIGATOR PROGRAM TO ASSIST NEVADANS WITH FINANCIAL STABILITY AND RESOURCE ATTAINMENT DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. OANV PARTNERED WITH ALREADY ESTABLISHED COMMUNITY PARTNERS IN THE STATE TO DIRECT NEVADANS SEEKING ASSISTANCE TO THE RESOURCES THEY NEEDED.
BRIDGES OUT OF POVERTY TRAINING, AN NFREP INITIATIVE OF OPPORTUNITY ALLIANCE NEVADA, ADDRESSES ECONOMIC INSTABILITY BY EXAMINING THE BARRIERS AND RESOURCES INDIVIDUALS ENCOUNTER. WE DO THIS BY FACILITATING A NUMBER OF WORKSHOPS DESIGNED TO BRING BUSINESSES, EDUCATION, HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES, AND JUSTICE SYSTEMS TOGETHER TO ASK IF EVERYONE IN OUR COMMUNITY IS AFFORDED A FAIR SHOT: SAFE AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING, ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE AND EDUCATION, A WELL-PAYING JOB AND A MEANS TO ACHIEVE IT.
