THE FOUNDATION FOR COMMUNITY DRIVEN INNOVATION MISSION IS DEDICATED TO SUPPORTING ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND THE SPIRIT OF INNOVATION THROUGH INSPIRING PROGRAMS AND ACTIVE LEARNING PROJECTS.

ADVANCED MANUFACTURING AND ROBOTICS CENTER AMROC FAB LAB: THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN UNDERWAY FOR 5 YEARS HELPING STUDENTS AND ADULTS WITH TECHNICAL TRAINING IN COMPUTER PROGRAMMING MANUFACTURING SKILLS SEWING & TEXTILES CAD DESIGN AND ADVANCED MACHINE TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT. THE PROGRAM HELPS OUR COMMUNITY PARTICIPANTS IN THEIR ABILITY TO OBTAIN HIGHER PAYING JOBS AND CAREERS AND THUS HELPS BUILD OUR OVERALL COMMUNITY ECONOMIC CAPACITY. THIS YEAR AMROC FAB LAB HAS SERVED MORE THAN 300 STUDENTS AND ADULTS AGES K-TO-GRAY WITH TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND TECHNOLOGY INSIGHTS.
EQUITY IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP: THIS PROGRAM HELPS BRIDGE THE RACE AND GENDER EQUITY GAP IN EARLY-STAGE ENTREPRENEURSHIP THUS HELPING CREATE MORE INCLUSIVE PATHWAYS TO OUR BUSINESS STARTUP ECOSYSTEM. SINCE THE PROGRAM'S INCEPTION IN 2021 OUR COHORTS HAVE SUCCESSFULLY AIDED THE LAUNCH OF 28 NEW FLORIDA STATE REGISTERED BUSINESSES IN OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY PROVIDING THE FOUNDATIONS FOR BUSINESS SUSTAINABILITY AS WELL AS STARTUP MICRO-SEED FUNDING BASED ON STUDENT PERFORMANCE. MORE THAN 50% OF OUR NEW ENTREPRENEURS COME FROM LOCAL UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES.
MIDDLE-HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT STEM ENGAGEMENT: OUR PROGRAM SUPPORTS YOUTH EDUCATION IN SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY ENGINEERING AND MATH THROUGH DIRECT HANDS-ON PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF THE ELEMENTS OF STEM TO THEIR TEAM-BASED COMPETITIVE ROBOTICS TECHNOLOGY PROJECTS AND CHALLENGES. LEARNING FAR MORE THAN THEY REALIZE THE PARTICIPATING STUDENTS ARE WELL SUITED FOR PURSUING TECHNICAL DEGREES IN COLLEGE OR SKILLED POSITIONS IN TECHNICAL INDUSTRY. THIS YEAR THE PROGRAM PROVIDED EXPERIENTIAL STEM SERVICES TO APPROXIMATELY 600 STUDENTS FROM LOCAL PUBLIC-SCHOOL TEAMS AS WELL AS OUR OWN IN-HOUSE STUDENT TEAMS.
