A SOURCE OF HEALING FOR FAMILIES IMPACTED BY CHILDHOOD CANCER, OFFERING HOLISTIC RETREATS AND MEANINGFUL GATHERINGS THAT CREATE CONNECTION, NURTURE HOPE, AND HONOR THEIR PROCESS THROUGH THE POWER OF LOVE.

RETT'S ROOST'S MOST INFLUENTIAL PROGRAM IS ITS FREE RETREATS FOR FAMILIES WHO ARE FACING CHILDHOOD CANCER OR CHILD LOSS. THE RETREATS GIVE FAMILIES MUCH NEEDED THERAPEUTIC AND PEER SUPPORT IN AN INTIMATE, NATURAL SETTING FOR 3-4 FULL DAYS. IN 2022, WE HELD 4 RETREATS FOR 25 FAMILIES AND HOSTED 4 ADDITIONAL FAMILIES ON INDIVIDUAL TRIPS TO MAINE. WE ALSO GAVE TWO FAMILIES OF CHILDREN WITH CANCER A FINANCIAL HARDSHIP GRANT. OVERALL WE SERVED 14 CHILDREN WITH CANCER, 13 SIBLINGS OF A CHILD WITH CANCER, 19 BEREAVED SIBLINGS AND 48 PARENTS WITH A RETREAT TRIP OR GRANT WORTH $2,000-$5,000 PER FAMILY. WE ALSO OFFERED MULTIPLE ONLINE PROGRAMS TO OUR COMMUNITY OF FAMILIES IMPACTED BY CHILDHOOD CANCER, INCLUDING VIRTUAL SUPPORT GROUPS AND A VIRTUAL RETREAT FOR PARENTS, FAMILY TRIVIA AND TAKE-OUT NIGHT, AND A MAGIC COURSE FOR KIDS.
