THE MISSION OF MATRIX HOUSING SERVICES IS TO DELIVER HIGH-QUALITY PROGRAMS AND WELL ROUNDED SERVICES FOR PEOPLE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS.

EMERGYENCY SHELTER AND RESOURCE CENTER: MATRIX EMERGENCY SHELTER SERVED 199 ADULTS WHO WERE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS IN DAKOTA COUNTY. WE PROVIDED A SAFE PLACE TO SLEEP, FOOD, AND CASE MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SERVICES. IN MARCH 2020, SHELTER OPERATIONS WERE MOVED TO A HOTEL TO PROVIDE NON-CONGREGATE SHELTER IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19. MATRIX RESOURCE CENTER SERVED AN AVERAGE OF 30 PEOPLE DAILY. THE RESOURCE CENTER PROVIDED BREAKFAST AND LUNCH, SHOWERS, LAUNDRY, CASE MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SERVICES, AND A SAFE PLACE TO BE DURING THE WEEKDAYS. GUESTS HAD ACCESS TO PHONES AND COMPUTERS TO SUPPORT JOB AND HOUSING SEARCHES.
COORDINATED ENTRY ASSESSMENTS: ASSESSED 840 PEOPLE WHO WERE STAYING OUTSIDE OR IN SHELTER IN HENNEPIN COUNTY. THE ASSESSORS FIELD INQUIRIES ABOUT HOUSING AND COORDINATED ENTRY IN HENNEPIN COUNTY, MAINTAIN CONTACT WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE ASSESSED, AND ASSIST IN CONNECTING CLIENTS TO HOUSING PROVIDERS ONCE THEY ARE REFERRED.
RAPID REHOUSING: WE SERVED FAMILIES AND SINGLE ADULTS WHO WERE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS IN DAKOTA COUNTY. 27 PARTICIPANTS WERE ASSISTED WITH OBTAINING HOUSING, CASE MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SERVICES TO HELP STABILIZE THEIR HOUSING, AND RENTAL ASSISTANCE. IN HENNEPIN COUNTY WE SERVED 41 SINGLES AND 34 FAMILIES WHO WERE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS. ALL PARTICIPANTS WERE ASSISTED WITH OBTAINING HOUSING, CASE MANAGEMENT SUPPORT SERVICES TO HELP STABILIZE THEIR HOUSING, AND RENTAL ASSISTANCE.
