PROVIDE EQUINE-ASSISTED POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER (PTSD) TREATMENT TO CURRENT AND FORMER U.S. SERVICE MEMBERS AND FIRST RESPONDERS, REGARDLESS OF THE SOURCE OF TRAUMA OR CHARACTERIZATION OF MILITARY SERVICE AT NO CHARGE TO THE CLIENT.

DURING 2021, 43 MILITARY AND FIRST RESPONDERS WITH PTSD RECEIVED WEEKLY EQUINE-ASSISTED TREATMENT WITH A CLINICAL THERAPIST, EQUINE SPECIALIST, AND A HORSE IN THE ARENA WITH THE CLIENT. THREE CLIENTS CONTINUED WITH TELEHEALTH DURING THE YEAR, WHILE THE REST RETURNED TO THE HORSE ARENA FOR TREATMENT. 16 NEW CLIENTS WERE ASSESSED IN 2021 WITH 8 CHOOSING NOT TO CONTINUE IN THE PROGRAM. 9 VETERANS AND 2 FIRST RESPONDERS GRADUATED FROM THE PROGRAM IN 2021. A NEW GROUP SESSION IS OFFERED ONCE A MONTH TO GRADUATES THAT WANT A REFRESHER. 24 CLIENTS WERE ACTIVELY IN TREATMENT AT THE END OF 2021.
