COMMUNITY YOGA CLASSES AND GROUPS: YOGACARE SERVED OVER 275 STUDENTS WITH OVER 1,000 VISITS PRIMARILY IN COMMUNITIES OF COLOR THROUGHOUT CHICAGO.
SOCIALLY ENGAGED YOGA NETWORK (SEYN): SEYN SUPPORTS YOGA TEACHERS AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS COMMITTED TO SHARING THE BENEFITS OF YOGA WITH UNDER-RESOURCED COMMUNITIES IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA. THROUGH EVENTS, RESOURCE SHARING, AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, WE IMPACT POSITIVE SOCIAL CHANGE. SEYN PROVIDES 3 COMMUNITY SEYN GATHERINGS REACHING OVER 120 TEACHERS, ORGANIZERS, AND COMMUNITY ACTIVISTS, 15 MONTHLY SEYN CIRCLES FOR WHITE ACCOUNTABILITY AND BBIPOC SUPPORT, AND MONTHLY ONLINE UPLIFT SESSIONS ON INSTAGRAM SHARING STORIES AND RESOURCES.
SCHOLARSHIP AND TRAINING PROGRAM: YOGACARE PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 10 COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO BECOME TRAINED AS CERTIFIED YOGA TEACHERS AND SPECIALIZED TRAINING FOR AN ADDITIONAL 15 TEACHERS.
