Part 3 - Line 4a
IN 2021, OUR FOUNDATION HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO ASSIST, IN A SIGNIFICANT WAY, THE FORT WAYNE PARKS DEPARTMENT'S PROPOSED RENOVATION AND REVITALIZATION OF FRANKE PARK. FEELING FAIRLY CONFIDENT THAT THE SHADOW OF COVID WAS PASSING AND THAT FUNDS COULD BE REASONABLY SOLICITED FOR CIVIC PROJECTS AGAIN, WE UNDERTOOK TO RAISED $3M FROM BOTH OUR OWN FOUNDATION AND FROM OTHER LIKE-MINDED FOUNDATIONS. BY YEAR END, WE HAD ACHIEVED OUR GOAL AND LOOK FORWARD TO ADDITIONAL PROJECTS WITHIN THE PARKS DEPARTMENTS PURVIEW IN THE NEAR FUTURE. WE CONTINUE TO HEAR PRAISE ABOUT THE PROMENADE PARK PAVILION AND ARE PLEASED WITH THE CONTINUED PUBLIC ATTENTION THIS PARK RECEIVES.
