COMMITMENT WEEKEND75 COUPLES ATTENDED OUR 3 DAY, 3 NIGHT EVENT HELD THIS YEAR IN WEST VIRGINIA AND INCLUDED SPEAKERS AND ACTIVITIES ON: MARRIAGE, PTSD AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH, MANAGING FINANCES AND HEALTH AND WELLNESS. THESE WEEKENDS ARE THE PINNACLE OF OUR SERVICE OFFERING AS ATTENDEES LEARN, GROW IN THEIR MARRIAGE AND BUILD A SUPPORT NETWORK ACROSS THE COUNTRY OF OTHER FIREFIGHTERS AND SPOUSES.
GIRLS WEEKENDFRIENDSHIPS GROW WITHIN OUR ONLINE COMMUNITIES AS WOMEN CONNECT WITH OTHER WOMEN WHO ARE MARRIED TO FIRST RESPONDERS AND LIVING A COMMON LIFESTYLE. OUR GIRLS WEEKENDS ARE OPERATED AT OR BELOW COST SO WE CAN CONNECT AS MANY WOMEN AS POSSIBLE IN PERSON TO FURTHER STRENGTHEN OUR MARRIAGES AND FAMILIES. IN 2015, 40 WOMEN PARTICIPATED IN 3 SEPARATE GIRLS WEEKENDS ACROSS THE COUNTRY.
24-7C ONLINE SUPPORT COMMUNITYIN 2015 OUR ONLINE SUPPORT COMMUNITIES WERE OPENED UP TO BE FREE OF CHARGE AND ACCESSIBLE TO ANY FIREFIGHTER AND / OR THEIR SIGNIFICANT OTHER. TO DATE, OVER 5000 PEOPLE HAVE REGISTERED FOR THESE ONLINE COMMUNITIES. NEW IN 2015 WAS THE OPENING OF THE HONOR GUARD, A COMMUNITY SPECIFICALLY FOR THE FIREFIGHTERS, WHICH INCLUDED 1200 OF THOSE REGISTRATIONS.THE RESCUE MY MARRIAGE PROGRAM IS A FREE ONLINE SUPPORT GROUP BY APPLICATION ONLY, SERVED BY TRAINED MARRIAGE FACILIATORS. NEARLY 200 WOMEN HAVE APPLIED FOR THE RESCUE MY MARRIAGE PROGRAM SINCE IT BEGAN IN DEC. 2013.
MARRIAGE ON FIREMARRIAGE ON FIRE IS AN ONLINE VIDEO BASED PROGRAM CREATED BY FOUNDERS DAN AND LORI MERCER. THESE 6 WEEKS OF VIDEOS TOTAL OVER 8 HOURS AND ADDRESS COMMON TOPICS IN FIREFIGHTER MARRIAGES. IT INCLUDES A SELF-PACED EMAIL SERIES AND HOMEWORK WITH DISCUSSION QUESTIONS FOR COUPLES TO WALK THROUGH TOGETHER. AN ONLINE GROUP IS AVAILABLE FOR ADDITIONAL SUPPORT. 125 COUPLES PURCHASED THIS PROGRAM AND AN ADDITIONAL 120 COUPLES WERE GIVEN FREE ACCESS DUE TO MEETING OUR APPLICATION QUALIFICATIONS.
