HOUSING DEVELOPMENT - TEARING DOWN DILAPIDATED, UNLIVABLE HOUSES TO CLEAR LOTS. THE ORGANIZATION IS MAINTAINING AN OCCUPIED DUPLEX BUILT BY THE ORGANIZATION.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT - SEARCH FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR AND IN PROCESS OF RENOVATING LOCAL RESTAURANT IN THE HEART OF DOWNTOWN ASHLAND. THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE PURCHASED, RENOVATED, AND ARE CURRENTLY RENTING OUT "THE HARDESTY HOUSE" WHICH IS THE LOCAL HOTEL/RESTAURANT IN ASHLAND, KS. HAVE ALSO STARTED A SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM IN COORDINATION WITH THE YOUTH GROUP TO ATTRACT PEOPLE TO MOVE TO ASHLAND.
