TINY WPA'S MISSION IS TO GROW AND SUPPORT A DIVERSE MULTIGENERATIONAL COMMUNITY OF CIVIC CHANGE AGENTS - BUILDING HEROS - WHO WANT TO LEARN HOW TO DESIGN - BUILD GREAT THINGS, MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THEIR COMMUNITIES, AND TROUGH DESIGN LEAD OTHERS IN MAKING PHILADELPHIA A BETTER, SAFER, HEALTHIER, MORE EQUITABLE, AND PROSPEROUS PLACE TO LIVE, WORK, AND PLAY.

HERO FABRICATION - AFTER COMPLETING THE FREE 8 - WEEK BUILDING HERO TRAINING PROGRAM (WHICH IS OFFERED 2-3 TIMES PER YEAR), HEROES CAN BECOME ELIGIBLE FOR PAID POSITIONS TO WORK ON HERO FABRICATION. RANGING IN SCALE FROM LASER CUT DOOR NUMBERS TO MOBILE READING CHARTS HERO FABRICATION CREATES FURTHER OPPROTUNITIES FOR HEROES TO LEARN, EARN AND LEAD IN THE DESIGN AND MAKING OF THEIR CITY.
DESK AND STOOLS - IN EFFORTS TO ADDRESS IMMEDIATE COVID RELATED NEEDS IN PHILADELPHIA, TINY WPA HEARD FROM ITS CONSTITUENTS THEIR NEED FOR DESKS AND STOOLS AS PHILADELPHIA PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS CONTINUED TO DO REMOTE LEARNING IN 2021. TINY WPA AND A SMALL TEAM OF BUILDING HEROES- ALONG WITH HELP FROM A DIVERSE GROUP OF VOLUNTEERS-DESIGNED AND FABRICATED 858 DESKS AND 841 STOOLS. OF THESE, 830 DESK AND STOOLS WERE DIRECTLY DELIVERED TO 437 FAMILIES IN NEED ACROSS 43 ZIP CODES IN PHILADELPHIA.
PLAY AND PLAY SPACES - ONE OF TINY WPA'S PRIMARY PROGRAM SERVICES IS THE CREATION OF PLAY SPACES AND THE USE OF PLAY TO BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER IN NEW WAYS.
