COMMUNITY HEALTH INITIATIVES CHI IS THE FIRST GRASSROOTS FEDERALLY QUALIFIED HEALTH CENTER IN CONEY ISLAND, CREATED BY COMMUNITY RESIDENTS TO ADDRESS DISPARITIES IN HEALTH CARE AND UNIVERSAL ACCESS TO PRIMARY CARE. CHI PROVIDES HIGH QUALITY, COMPREHENSIVE, ACCESSIBLE, AND CULTURALLY SENSITIVE PREVENTIVE AND PRIMARY HEALTH CARE SERVICES TO THE CONEY ISLAND COMMUNITY. THE HEALTH CENTER DELIVERS SERVICES TO ALL INDIVIDUALS REGARDLESS OF AGE, RACE, CREED, RELIGION, GENDER, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, MARITAL STATUS, PHYSICAL DISABILITY, CITIZENSHIP STATUS, NATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS, OR ABILITY TO PAY.
