CAREGIVERS DESERVE A BREAK AND THEIR LOVED ONES ARE WORTHY OF A DAY OR TWO FILLED WITH MEANINGFUL SOCIAL INTERACTION AND ACTIVITY IN A "HOME AWAY FROM HOME" SETTING. DAYBREAK PROVIDES THE SAFE AND SECURE ENVIRONMENT FOR SUCH OPPORTUNITIES TO PROSPER. EVERYONE DESIRES RESPECT AND TO BE VALUED, REGARDLESS OF THEIR PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, SOCIAL OR MENTAL IMPARMENT, OR THEIR FINANCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES. AT DAYBREAK WE WILL ENCOURAGE, LAUGH WITH, AND PROTECT YOUR LOVED ONES AND SUPPORT YOU IN THE PROCESS.

THE ORGANIZATION SERVED CLIENTS (DEFINED AS DISABLED, LOW-INCOME PERSONS OVER THE AGE OF 60 WHO REQUIRE IN-HOME CARE FROM THEIR CAREGIVERS). THE PROGRAM PROVIDES A SAFE PLACE FOR CAREGIVERS TO LEAVE THEIR CHARGES IN ORDER TO TAKE A RESPITE FROM THEIR 24/7 RESPONSIBILITIES AND TO SEE TO THEIR OWN NEEDS. THE PROGRAM ALSO DIRECTLY HELPS THE HOMEBOUND INDIVIDUALS BY PROVIDING ACCESS TO SOCIAL INTERACTION AND RECREATION ACTIVITIES, THEREBY AVOIDING THE DANGERS OF ISOLATION, INCLUDING DEPRESSION AND ILLNESS. THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVED APPROXIMATELY 2,040 HOURS OF PROGRAM SUPPORT FROM 9 VOLUNTEERS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO WAS PURCHASED PROPERTY IN JULY.
