NWDP RESCUED 91 DOGS/CATS/PIGS AND ADOPTED 89 IN 2021, COMPARED TO 147 RESCUES AND 147 ADOPTIONS IN 2020. WE TOOK ON SOME DOGS WITH BEHAVIORAL CHALLENGES THAT REQUIRED MORE INVESTMENT IN TRAINING. THESE DOGS WERE REHABILITATED AND TRAINED, AND ARE CURRENTLY LIVING IN THEIR FOREVER HOMES. WE ALSO TOOK ADDITIONAL YOUNGER DOGS WITH MEDICAL PROBLEMS AND WERE ABLE TO REHABILITATE THEM AND FIND THEM LOVING HOMES.


NWDP CONTINUED ITS SENIOR PROGRAM WITH 34 SENIOR DOGS RESCUED, 26 ADOPTED, AND 5 DECEASED. THE PANDEMIC CONTINUES TO CHALLENGE OUR "SENIORS FOR SENIORS" VISITATION PROGRAM WITH LOCAL MEMORY CARE FACILITIES. EXPENSES AND REVENUE FOR THE SENIOR PROGRAM IS NOT TRACKED SEPARATELY AND ARE INCLUDED IN 1 ABOVE.


WE CONTINUE TO OFFER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO LOW-INCOME FAMILIES NEEDING SUPPORT WITH MEDICAL BILLS AND SPAY/NEUTER SERVICES. WE PROVIDED FINANCING FOR LOCAL RESIDENTS AND AREA CLINICS TOTALING $13,432 IN FINANCIAL COMMITMENT FOR 2021. WE DO NOT HAVE OTHER EXPENSES/GRANTS/OR REVENUE AT THIS TIME.
