FRIENDS OF THE FAIR HAD A VOLUNTEER ENTER INTO THE 2022 CURWOOD FESTIVAL MR OWOSSO COMPETITION , A 3 WEEK FUND RAISING CONTEST ENDING JUNE 4 . FRIENDS OF THE FAIR SOLICITIED SPONSORSHIPS, RAN 2 RAFFLES AND EXECUTED 8 FUNDRAISING EVENTS NETTING OVER $47,000. THE PURPOSE OF THE FUNDRAISING WAS TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR A COMPLETE SOUND SYSTEM FOR THE SHIAWASSEE COUNTY FAIR CONNECTING ALL BUILDINGS AND SHOW RINGS. THE SHIAWASSEE COUNTY FAIR RECEIVED A GRANT FROM THE THE FOF DEC 3, 2022 FOR THE ENTIRE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF THE SYSTEM, TOTALING $47,703. SCFOF ALSO PROVIDED $212 FOR A STUDENT FFA PROJECT, $500 SPONSORSHIP FOR THE SHIAWASSEE COUNTY FAIR SMALL ANIMAL AUCTION, AND $2000 FOR ON BEHALF OF CARGILL FOR SWEEPSTAKE SPONSORSHIP.
