THE MISSION OF THE SHINNYO CENTER FOR MEDITATION & WELL-BEING IS TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR ITS MEMBERS, GUESTS, AND COMMUNITY IN CONTEMPORARY METROPOLITAN SOCIETY THROUGH THE EXPLORATION OF CONTEMPLATIVE PRACTICES AND FURTHERANCE OF PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND EMOTIONAL RENEWAL.

THE CENTER IS PART OF AN INTERNATIIONAL BUDDHIST COMMUNITY DEDICATED TO HELPING PEOPLE REALIZE GREATER SELF-AWARENESS, HAPPINESS, AND HARMONY FOR THE GOOD OF HUMANITY AND FOR A WORLD OF PEACE. THE CENTER OFFERS SECULAR PROGRAMS THAT ARE DESIGNED TO ENGAGE A BROAD AUDIENCE FROM ALL BACKGROUNDS IN THE NEW YORK METROPOLITAN AREA. THE PROGRAMS AIM TO HELP AUDIENCES GAIN INCREASED BALANCE, NEW PERSPECTIVES, AND DEEPER INSIGHT, MANAGE LIFE CHOICES, AND DEVELOP THEIR UNIQUE AND AUTHENTIC SELF WITH COMPASSIONATE AND ALTRUISTIC ASPIRATION BOTH PERSONALLY AND PROFESSIONALLY.
